Terms of Use

The agreement between you and Sevron Ltd for using SAFETY-VERSE®.

Last updated 3 September 2026

Draft. This document has not yet been reviewed by a qualified adviser and is not in force.

What this agreement covers

These terms govern your use of SAFETY-VERSE®. By creating an account or using the platform you accept them.

SAFETY-VERSE® is operated by Sevron Ltd. Separate terms may apply to The Knights of Safety Academy, which is a different service reached from here.

Still to confirm: Registered company name and number, registered address, and the governing law and jurisdiction clause.

What SAFETY-VERSE is, and what it is not

SAFETY-VERSE® gives general safety guidance, tools and a community of practice. It is designed to help you think about a problem and know where to look next.

It is not a substitute for professional judgement. VERA and the Oracles are AI guides grounded in safety standards. They are not safety professionals, they are not qualified to advise on your particular circumstances, and they do not know your site, your workforce or your legal obligations.

Nothing here is a compliance determination, a certification, or evidence that any arrangement meets a legal requirement. The Safety Readiness Check gives an indicative view of how arrangements might look to an assessor. It is not an audit and its result carries no regulatory weight.

Guidance here is general and jurisdiction-neutral. Legal duties differ by country and by industry, and applying anything here is your decision, taken with the facts in front of you.

Where a competent person is needed

Some decisions must be taken by someone competent to take them, and no platform can do it for you. That includes anything involving a serious or immediate risk to a person, and anything where getting it wrong could cause harm.

Where the platform says a competent person is required, treat that as the answer rather than as a caveat on one.

You are responsible for the decisions you take. Sevron Ltd is not liable for loss arising from reliance on general guidance given here.

Your account

You must give accurate details when you register, and verify your email address before the account can be used.

One person, one account. Accounts are personal and must not be shared: credits and renown belong to a person, and a shared account cannot be held responsible for what it does.

You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else has access to it.

You must be old enough to enter into a contract in your country to hold an account.

What you post

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you give us a licence to display and store it as part of running the platform, and to keep it visible in the conversation it belongs to.

You are responsible for what you post being yours to share. Do not post confidential information, another person's personal data, or material that belongs to someone else.

You can edit or delete your own posts. A deleted post leaves a marker so replies to it still make sense, and the votes it received are removed with it.

The community rules apply to everything posted, and moderators enforce them. Content can be removed and accounts can be suspended for breaches.

Credits, renown and rank

Credits meter access to the parts of the platform that cost money to run. Renown and rank reflect what the community has found useful.

Neither has monetary value. They cannot be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for anything outside the platform, and no refund is owed for unused credits.

We may change the rates at which credits are earned and spent as the platform develops. Where a change reduces what you can do with credits you have already earned, we will say so beforehand.

Renown gained by manipulation: additional accounts, arranged voting, soliciting votes: will be removed, along with the accounts involved.

Acceptable use

Use the platform as a person, for its purpose. The Fair Use Policy sets out the specific limits and forms part of these terms.

Do not automate access, scrape content, resell or systematically extract what the platform produces, work around a limit, or attempt to interfere with the service or reach data that is not yours.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, and will say why unless doing so would compromise an investigation.

Availability

We aim to keep the platform available but do not guarantee it. It may be unavailable for maintenance, or because a service it depends on is unavailable.

Features may change or be withdrawn as the platform develops. Where a change removes something you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.

Ending your use

You can stop using the platform at any time, and ask us to close your account.

Closing an account ends access to credits and rank. Posts may remain where removing them would break a conversation other people took part in, and we will discuss what you would like removed.

Still to confirm: What happens to posts on account closure: anonymised, tombstoned, or removed: and how that sits with the erasure right in the privacy notice.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Subject to that, SAFETY-VERSE® is provided as it is. We do not warrant that guidance is complete, current or fit for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for loss arising from decisions taken in reliance on it.

Still to confirm: The liability cap and exclusions need drafting by a lawyer against Sevron's insurance position. This section is a placeholder for structure, not settled wording.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform develops. The date above shows when they last changed, and we will tell you about anything that materially affects your rights rather than relying on you noticing.
